The lights hovered for about 15 minutes before disappearing. The witnesses said that the UFO lights were executing impossible maneuvers that defied known physics.

Source: David Fravor and Alex Dietrich
On November 14, 2004, Navy Commander David Fravor, a graduate of the Top Gun naval flight school, and Lieutenant Commander Alex Dietrich, were training with the United States Nimitz Carrier Strike Group off the coast of Southern California, about 100 miles southwest of San Diego.
The USS Princeton, a ship in their training group, detected the a UAP using the Princeton's advanced radar. David Fravor and Alex Dietrich were immediately dispatched to investigate the UAP. David Fravor and Alex Dietrich spotted a white, "Tic Tac"-shaped UAP object that had no rotors, rotor wash, or visible flight control surfaces at all.
Video footage was released of the Tic Tac UAP and is known as the "Flir" video.

It has been alleged by Ross Coulthart that this Tic Tac UFO could have been manufactured by Lockheed Martin, and is actually a reverse-engineered alien reproduction vehicle.

Eglin Air Force Base, Florida UFO Sighting
Source: Daniel Gockerell
Former Army Ranger Daniel Gockerell says that while he was recovering from injuries at a medical facility at Eglin Air Force Base in 2006, that he heard something loud outside that sounded like something powering up.
Daniel Gockerell got up and went outside, and he allegedly observed a large triangular UFO craft hovering above the ground with perfect stability, with military Humvees, black SUVs, personnel, and bright lights surrounding the craft, forming a secure perimeter.

Daniel says that the UFO craft was about 300 feet long or about the size of a football field, and had no visible cockpit or engine housing. It also had white lights at the three corners of the triangle and a large white light in the center.

The UFO craft made repeated test runs of hovering, banking (allowing him to see its triangle profile), then at departure, accelerating to what he described as supersonic speeds, but without producing a sonic boom.

Daniel Gockerell submitted his UFO account to Congress, and some lawmakers have cited difficulty in obtaining briefings or evidence from the Department of Defense or Air Force related to UAPs at Eglin Air Force base.

Chicago O'Hare International Airport UFO Sighting
Source: Chicago O'Hare Airport Pilots and Mechanics
The Chicago O'Hare International Airport UFO incident occurred on November 7, 2006, when over a dozen aviation workers, including pilots and mechanics, reported seeing a large, disc-shaped UFO object hovering silently above the airport before it shot into the sky at a high speed, leaving a hole in the clouds.
The Federal Aviation Administration and United Airlines initially denied the UFO event, but their communication records later revealed that a United supervisor did contact the FAA about the UFO sighting, which the FAA theorized was a weather phenomenon. The incident remains a prominent case in UFO history due to the numerous witnesses and subsequent denial and initial cover-up by authorities.

The UFO sighting on November 7, 2006, involved a dark gray, metallic, saucer-like UFO object seen hovering above Concourse C at Chicago O'Hare Airport. The UFO object was observed by many people working at the airport, including pilots, mechanics, and baggage personnel. Witnesses described the UFO object as spinning, silent, and as large as 24 feet in diameter. The object then ascended into the sky at a high speed, creating a noticeable, temporary hole in the clouds.
Both the FAA and United Airlines initially claimed they had no knowledge of the event, however, after a Freedom of Information Act request, tower communications revealed a United supervisor had contacted the FAA about the sighting. The FAA maintained they did not see the UFO object on radar and eventually suggested the event was a "weird weather phenomenon."
The Chicago O'Hare UFO incident is considered one of the most significant and well-documented UFO sightings, largely due to the number of eyewitnesses and the apparent contradiction between the initial denial and the revealed communication.

Alderney Island, English Channel UFO Sighting
Source: Ray Bowyer, Patrick Patterson and Passengers
The Alderney UFO incident refers to a well documented 2007 sighting of large UFOs in the English Channel by a commercial airline pilot, his passengers, and another pilot in a separate aircraft. The incident remains a mystery, as investigations could not find a definitive, conventional explanation.

The initial UFO sighting occurred on the afternoon of April 23, 2007. Ray Bowyer, a veteran pilot for Aurigny Air Services, was flying a passenger Trislander plane from Southampton to the island of Alderney. About 10 miles west of Alderney, he saw a brilliant yellow, stationary light ahead.
As Ray Bowyer watched, a second, identical UFO object appeared. The two objects were described as having a brilliant light, a dark center, and a flattened, disc-like shape. Bowyer later sketched the objects and estimated they were up to a mile long. Several passengers on Bowyer's aircraft also saw the unusual lights. A second pilot, Patrick Patterson of Blue Islands, also reported seeing a similar UFO object in the same vicinity, confirming Bowyer's observation.

Ray Bowyer immediately reported the UFO sighting to air traffic control. The controller at Jersey Airport, Paul Kelly, corroborated the event by detecting an intermittent, solitary "primary contact" on his radar in the area where Ray Bowyer described the object.
After the initial report, the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence stated it would not investigate, claiming the UFO sighting occurred in French airspace. The Ministry of Defence later released information from the pilot reports, but did not offer an official explanation.

Several conventional theories have been proposed to explain the UFO sighting, though none have been definitively proven. Local astronomer Michael Maunder suggested the objects were "sundogs," an atmospheric optical phenomenon caused by sunlight refracting through ice crystals. However, this explanation is debated, given the reported size, shape, and behavior of the objects.

Some have suggested that the UFO lights could be a rare phenomenon known as "earthquake lights," which can appear before or during seismic activity. The timing of the sighting occurred a few days before an earthquake in southeastern England, though the connection is scientifically debatable.

Stephenville, Texas UFO Sighting
Source: Steve Allen and Leroy Gateman
On January 8, 2008, in Stephenville, Texas, numerous residents, including pilot Steve Allen and police officer Leroy Gateman were camping at night, saw an enormous, silent UFO craft, possibly a half-mile wide, with a large number of bright, flashing strobe lights that later formed into an arch.

The UFO object hovered over the town before accelerating away at an astonishing speed of over 3,000 mph, far beyond that of conventional aircraft. Witnesses also observed two F-16 fighter jets chasing the UFO object but were unable to keep pace with its incredible speed.
The United States Air Force initially stated that no aircraft from their base were in the area, with a spokesman suggesting the lights might have been an illusion caused by commercial airplanes, an explanation many witnesses found unconvincing.

The UFO event received significant media attention from local and national outlets, including front-page coverage in the local newspaper, the Stephenville Empire Tribune. The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) also investigated the UFO sighting, collecting numerous eyewitness reports.

The Stephenville, Texas UFO incident remains an unsolved mystery, with the nature of the UFO object unconfirmed.
