David Fravor & Alex Dietrich - 2004
On November 14, 2004, Navy Commander David Fravor, a graduate of the Top Gun naval flight school, and Lieutenant Commander Alex Dietrich, were training with the United States Nimitz Carrier Strike Group off the coast of Southern California, about 100 miles southwest of San Diego.
The USS Princeton, a ship in their training group, detected the a UAP using the Princeton's advanced radar. David Fravor and Alex Dietrich were immediately dispatched to investigate the UAP.
David Fravor and Alex Dietrich spotted a white, "Tic Tac"-shaped UAP object that had no rotors, rotor wash, or visible flight control surfaces at all.
David Fravor went in for a closer look flying his F/A-18 fighter jet towards the UAP. He described the "Tic Tac" UAP mirroring his movements, saying "it was aware we were there."
The UAP was about the size of David Fravor's F/A-18 fighter jet.
The UAP then rapidly accelerated and disappeared right in front of their aircraft.
David Fravor has said that the UAP was far superior in relation to speed and material science to anything the United States had at the time, or that we currently have, or that we're going to have within at least the next 20 years or even beyond.
He also has said that the United States Government needs to have oversight of any programs that possess this advanced technology.
David Fravor also has said, that other than a debrief after the UAP incident, no other follow-up was conducted by his superiors.
The Pentagon released video of this UAP incident to the public in 2020, after the UAP sighting gained public attention after the story released by the New York times in 2017.
